“Reasonable price
Garage door in my four year old home wouldn’t go up. Nite before it wouldn’t go down. Humming sound only. Disconnected the opener and tried to manually open the door - but it weighed a ton and I couldn’t lift it. Sensors were aligned . I called at 10 am for tech and Aiden was here by 4 pm. Took him few minutes to diagnose problem, the opener was worn out beyond repair because the original installer had installed wrong size springs. Too small. The diagnosis tracked with past door opener problems - this time the springs just gave out. And four years of use had depleted the opener. Before the springs were replaced, the door would slam itself shut if opened manually. After the springs were replaced, the door would stay in place when partially opened. Didn’t slam shut. Apparently when the house was built four years ago, the wrong size springs were installed. Tracks with some other short cut problems I’ve repaired inside the house.
Aiden was knowledgeable, courteous and took time to explain and show me what had caused the original opener to ‘die’ after only four years. 5 stars and a huge thank you to Aiden and the office staff who got me help same day.
I’d add photo of old and new springs but old ones are in trash. Take my word- the new ones are bigger than the old ones”
